THINGS WE HAVE IN COMMON

A. Belief in a triune God.

B. Common hope in the resurrection.

C. Glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

D. Faithful high priest. Forgives our sins. We can boldly approach the throne of Grace to find mercy and help in time of need.

E. According to Romans 1:19-21 God has made himself known to all of humanity thru creation, however his greatest revelation came through the his son Jesus Christ.

JESUS DESIRE FOR UNITY

NEED FOR UNITY

            A. Part of Jesus prayer. v.21

           

B. Needed to convince world that he is the desire of all nations, the hope of the human race.

           

C. He was sent by the Father.

           

D. Love one another. 15:12 Rather than fighting to see who would be the greatest in the kingdom, he wanted them to learn of servant leadership. Again it is repeated in 15:17

BASIS FOR UNITY

            A. The word of God. 17:17

           

B. 4:23 Worship in Spirit and truth.
