ii. Here are some other words: aspiration, desire, wish, expectation, ambition, aim, plan, dream, daydream, pipe dream. longing, yearning, craving, hankering.

iv. The world desires and wishes for what it can see.
v. They may or may not be able to get what they long for.

v. The believer’s hope is based on the inward experience and witness of God’s Spirit.
We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it.
But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)
ii. We have a taste of this HOPE
iii. We experience the things of Holy Spirit
iv. However, the these are not yet perfected in this life.
v. We can know we are saved
vi. We can see the workings of God in our life and the life of the church.
