His Story Continues

17 On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. 18 Bethany was less than two miles from Jerusalem, 19 and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother. 20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home. 21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”

1. The cross was not the end of His Story

The Word became flesh to die a sinner’s death even though He was sinless

He died in the place of sinners

By His stripes we are whole, healed, delivered, saved, made right

All we need to do is believe in Him and we will live forever with Him

What Jesus did nearly 2000 years ago is still felt today

Death lost its sting

Death is not scary anymore

We know that even if we die we will live forever

His story is not over

The enemy thought it was over but God

2. The haters think you will fail but God

People laughed at Jesus

They did not believe Lazarus could be healed

They did not expect Lazarus to come out of the tomb

The enemy will always try to make you believe that your best days are behind you....But God

You did not fail, you learned another way it doesn’t work

You did not fail, you learned a lesson

You did not fail because God is for you

3. The doctors thought it was the end but God

Doctors speak facts but God is the Truth

Doctors operate on the borrowed knowledge but God is all-knowing

Doctors diagnose sicknesses, illnesses, diseases, and just problems.....But God heals you from all of your ailments

Doctors prescribe medications that don’t heal....But God is Rapha—the God Who Heals

Death had no chance against God

Sickness and the such don’t stand a chance

4. Your story starts with Jesus

You must be born again

You die to the world but are arise for the Lord

A seed was buried a fruitful tree blossomed

Don’t despise the days of small beginnings

A seed is just a seed unless it dies and it is buried, then it can become a tree that bears much fruit

Jesus was the seed that has restored billions and billions of people to the Lord

5. The period is the end of the chapter but the story continues
