Genesis 1:26–28 NKJV
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Introduction:

For some time we have been working through this Passage.
the very first thing we learn is we are created in the image of God.
Genesis 1:26 NKJV
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Every part of you was created in the image of God:
your personality type.
Your skill set.
your passions.
your Purpose
your Placement
all of these things come from God and play a part in your life.
We learned about being fruitful and what that means when we allow the purposes of God.
we learned that before we ‘multiply’ our families; we had to peruse an increase of our skill and ability.
we where to increase our incomes.
Last week we learn that we are not allowed to kill the blessing that God gave us.

1. Part of filling the earth means pointing our children in the direction that they where created for.

Psalm 127:4–5 NKJV
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. 5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
Part of what parents do is point Children toward what God created in them.
This means that we have to see our children as mini me and see them as who they are. see them as God created them to be.
this means understanding their strengths as well as their weaknesses.
you cant be the all and all for your children. you have to remember that God placed other people in their lives to help them.
those people, as they speak correction in the lives of their Children, they may hear it better from an outside source then from us.
the evangelist who preaches what I have been preaching for months and people act like it was the first time it had ever been said.
that’s why we live together in community.
the last thing I want to do is give you something to talk to your therapist about. weather or not you were properly pointed, that’s fine. you can properly point your self.

2. Train up s child in way he should go.

Proverbs 22:6 NKJV
6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
a better translation would be, ‘there is a well warn path inside a child. not just train up a child in the way he should go.
we where built for a purpose,
part of the goal is filling the earth with people who no themselves as much as they know others.
if you know who you are, ‘
if you know how you are,
if you know how you work in the world and how you dont you a properly pointed!
