I Have Been Thru Too Much. . .
Pre-Understandings / Pre-Suppositions -
Altar = “To Slay” - The Law required that everyone bring their offerings to the tabernacle of meeting, and from they type, they were to adhere to the instructions in order to offer up for a sacrifice.
God brought me out of darkness into His Marvelous Light - I was sinking when I was pastoring the church in North - Actually, it was not just some of the individuals, but the religion had a strong hold upon me that was choking me!
Church was really making me feel less than, rather than greater than - I was so perplexed because I just could not grasps why we have been reading His Word for years but doing the same thing - No one was really desiring to experience a True Move Of God!
God sanctioned New Directions Church Ministries - To be just that, New Directions - He did not begin this great work in order for us to continue in the same way - He has given ME instructions to direct this ministry in the way that He wants us to go - And He has given me you - to guide in the way and vision, I refuse to be the Before, when God has given me a Greater After!
God has given me you - I am to equip you because you are renewed (born) in this house - Genesis 14:14 “14 Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.”
Abram returns from war - Blessed by Melchizedek - Then he is visited by God - Genesis 15:1 “1 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
Abram = “High, Exalted Father” (Abraham - Father To Many Nations) has entered into covenant with God (Yah) - God brought him out and blessed him with greater than he could ever imagine - Abram only request to God at this moment was to have a son from his loins
Abram understood that he had sacrificed much, in order to continue in The Way of The Lord - Someone says, how do you know - Well because Abram seeks the Lord for a son, even after he attempted to do what God had already planned to do -
This seem too hard for Abram being so old and received The Promise from God to be father to many but yet to have any!
This is where I can testify that I falter - Because when I cannot see how it will take place, but yet I believe The Word from God, I then begin to attempt to manifest the Word of God thinking that I am doing Him a service
We get hung up in thinking that we must protect the validity of God - Thinking from the place of our current circumstances, it seems impossible - But, “Is there anything too hard for God?”
You have been thru too much to allow the buzzards to descend upon your sacrifice - drive that thinking away and remain in His Presence! I have come too far to allow my mind to be conformed to the world and take me back to the before when God has promised a greater after!
As Abram is adhering to the instructions, he prepares the sacrifice and here come the buzzards - Genesis 15:10-11 “10 Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. 11 And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.”
Right when you are about to experience a move of God - Here come the buzzards -
These vultures are always lurking because they can sense death on the horizon
They do not kill and eat, they wait for the death then descend upon the carcasses
This is why I believe Paul urges us to leave those things that we were consumed with before - and grasps hold of the things before us!
When you come to the altar - slay those things - because the vultures are lurking to devour what is dead!
You cannot continue in the old when God has given you a New Way!
The enemy desires for you to remain connected to your before - No not so!
You see - it sounds gruesome, but the offering was to God a sweet savor - Some wonder how in the world was that sweet smelling - When your heart is pure in your offerings to God, then He sees your heart and adheres to your humility!
The two halves were symbolizing a covenant - and the reason for walking between the pieces were to symbolize an agreement and that if the agreement was broken, this would be your consequence!
We are in Covenant With God - And because He said so, we have an assurance that keeps us in The Hope that does not disappoint!
Abram was faithful because he believe The Promises of God - He did not allow anything to steal his sacrifice - He allowed his mind to be renewed and not conformed to the circumstances - Which is why it was accounted to him for righteousness!
Too often we remain inside when God is trying to move us outside of our comfort zone - God want to show us a great miracle but when you are so bound by religion, rituals, doubt, negativity, you may miss what God has for you - Genesis 15:5 “5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”
You cannot be so consumed with the building when God is doing a New Thing outside!
The Levitical law required the offerings to be made in a particular way - inside the Tabernacle - The Priest would sprinkle the blood around the altar as required, but remember, only The Priest were able to go inside, in the Presence of God! Hebrews 13:11 “11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.”
Abram was in a posture of Worship - He refuse to allow the buzzards to consume his sacrifice, he drove them away because this sacrifice belong to God!
I refuse to allow anything to remove me from this place of Worship - I may not be perfect, but I have worship! Matthew 15:25 “25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”
You can call me a dog, but I have worship - Get Away From My Sacrifice - I’M Ready For The Afterwards
Jesus Christ went thru too much as me, so I went thru too much for me to turn back now! He came and did a New Thing!
The blood would once had to be taken into the Holy Of Holy - But Because He was bruised, beaten, and crucified, outside of the religion - He has given us all access thru Grace!
