Text: Revelation 4:5-5:14
We again remember John 1:29 (NASB95) The next day he [John the Baptist] saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
And
John 1:35–37 (NASB95) Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, 36 and he looked at Jesus as He walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” 37 The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
What was the Holy Spirit showing John?
Perhaps God gave him a glimpse into the future where he saw what we just sang about: Revelation 4:5-5:14

As we go to the Lord in prayer this afternoon, may we see as vividly as John the Baptist MAY have seen and John the Revelator certainly DID see.
As we pray in the Name of Jesus may we remember He is at the Father’s right hand where there is not only flashes of lightning and peals of thunder — there grace and help in our time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 (NLT) So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
As we pray in the Name of Jesus may we see beyond the rainbow of Rev 4:3 and remember the promises given to Noah, signified by a rainbow:
Genesis 9:14–17 (NASB95) “It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, 15 and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 “When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
God promises not to destroy all flesh with a flood of water.
That speaks of Good’s kind intentions towards us and our loved ones:
2 Peter 3:9 (NASB95) The Lord is not slow about His promise [of fiery judgment of vs. 7] , as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
Let us look to the one who is holy.
The One who has angels constantly crying out, “HOLY, HOLY HOLY IS THE GOD ALMIGHTY”
And let us pray that He will make us holy as He is holy
Let us pray that the Lord will prepare us for the NEW song that will be sung around the Throne.
Let us praise Him for not only making us His children.
But for making us kings and priests to our God.
Oh the privileges of being reconciled to God!
Let us look to the Lamb of God tonight.
Let’s pray for God’s mercies over our many needs.
