Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the Lord. Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days. And no leavened bread shall be seen among you, nor shall leaven be seen among you in all your quarters. And you shall tell your son in that day, saying, ‘This is done because of what the Lord did for me when I came up from Egypt.’ It shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt. You shall therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year.

This feast marked the Hebrew people as a unique people, as though the where branded.

Branding cattle is a method of creating a unique identifier on livestock to deter theft and help with identification. Farmers use a hot iron to cause a permanent scar on the animal so that it can’t be removed or forged. Each farm or ranch has a unique brand identifier and a unique location on the cow where they brand their cattle.

Job is a man who conducted himself out of fear or reverence to God and that meant shunning evil.

Bad, Cain

The New King James Version Chapter 4

8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

Cain acted out of anger and killed his brother resulting in him being cursed by God.

At times we may have to take leaps of faith, in these times we must first of course think before we act then act on what is right.

In a burning building, standing still may not save you: you must first think what do I need to do ? The right thing is to find an exit ! Then act on what is right, as soon as you God shows you those signs follow them to escape.

Mark expressed who Jesus is, in 1 verse, Son of God, and His actions and behaviors perfectly showed that He is. So we must also.

Jesus gave us a parable that showed us how to act and behave, the good Samaritan.

To the expert in law - the wounded man was a subject to be discussed

To the robbers- the wounded man was someone to be used and exploited

to the religious men - the wounded man was a problem to be avoided

to the innkeeper- the wounded man was a customer to serve for a fee

to the Samaritan- the wounded man was a human being worth being cared for and loved
