A Conjunction

Important Biblical Study Practice - When you see a sentence begin with a conjunction, review what proceeds it.
We didn’t reject Jesus, we accepted Him.
The lost are destined to disobedience; us to obedience.

Who We Are in Christ

Notice the plurality
A chosen race
A royal priesthood
A holy nation
A people of His own possession

Our Purpose

Proclaim the excellencies of Him

What Jesus Has Done

Called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Made us a people
Given us mercy

The Result

We are sojourners and exiles
Abstain from the passions of the flesh
Keep our conduct honorable
The lost
Glorify God - Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Receive salvation
