We say that our salvation is by grace alone. We confess that God is Almighty, and that we are helpless. If we believe these things, then we will be people of prayer.
Paul’s prayer functions on a couple levels for us. On the one hand, it teaches us what we should desire for ourselves spiritually. On another level, Paul by his example teaches us how we can pray for other believers. In this sermon, we learn from Paul how we ought to pray for one another.
