Sermon Outline on Same-Sex & Child Sacrifice
I. Same-Sex (Homosexual) Unions

Where Senators Obama and McCain stand on the Defense of Marriage Act [1]
This federal law, bipartisanly-enacted, protects our state from being forced to legally recognize and honor same-sex marriages/unions from California, Massachusetts, or foreign countries.
Barack Obama: John McCain:
Calls for repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, Supports the Defense of Marriage Act,
Supports same-sex unions.[2] Opposes same-sex unions.[3]
II. Child Sacrifice

Where Senators Obama and McCain stand on Partial Birth Abortion[4]
This procedure involves delivering all but the head of a full-term infant, piercing the child’s skull, sucking his or her brains out, resulting in the baby’s death.[5]

Favors allowing Partial Birth Abortion, Opposes Partial Birth Abortion,
Opposes protecting babies from this. [6] Favors protecting babies from this.[7]
III. Pray…
For those in authority, for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and for boldness to speak truth to power (e.g. like Moses, Joseph, Esther, Daniel, Jeremiah, etc.)
Wherever traditional “one-man, one-woman” marriage measures are on the ballot needing “YES” votes -- California (Prop 8), Florida (Amendment 2) and Arizona (Proposition 102) – we would especially urge all congregational leaders to pray, and speak up, for natural monogamy. [1] There are additional individuals seeking the Presidency, but most likely either Sen. Obama or Sen. McCain will be the next Commander-in-Chief. The Bible conveys that prayer, repentance, recalcitrance, etc. can cause leaders to change or harden their views.
