Psalm 94 – “God of Vengeance”
Injustice
Arrogance is at the root of all injustice (vs3-4).
The arrogant act unjustly because they don’t think they are accountable (vs7).
Injustice will inevitably spill over into violence (vs5-6, 21).
Injustice shows God is just because where it exists, God is rejected and His image despised.
God’s Answer
God sees every bit of injustice in the world (vs8-11).
He is the One who is above all and will bring rebuke (vs10).
One day all injustice will be completely wiped out (vs23).
Our Hope
God’s justice is our hope when we realize our rebellion.
God’s justice is our hope when we are oppressed (vs16-17).
God’s justice brings the hope that silences anxiety (vs19).
