Adam was given task to name animals
God parades them, Adam recognizes there is no companion for him
“Not good”- God’s “very good” creation was not “very good” until woman was created

One man, one woman, leave and cleave
ONE FLESH- a new living organism
The PRIMARY, most important human relationship
My wife - more important than my children, my grandchildren...
Jesus was challenged on gender and marriage, what He says is good enough for me
(quotes Genesis 2)
and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? “So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
Well, He wrote it, He should know
Not intended to say that some specific person/man should separate them, but rather, marriage was never intended to be separated, except by death.
God designed, divinely ordained, marriage to be one flesh, new organism, permanent
We (mankind) dare not do anything to jeopardize that

We are created in His image, not evolved

God designed marriage - (not some “old fashioned” construct)
One man, one woman
NO OTHER RELATIONSHIP IS MARRIAGE
(including living together)
UNDER ATTACK - God’s Word, not US
Because there is no longer a reliance on God’s Word as the authority
(where is the line, why is govt so against polygamy?)
Satan: “If I can get people to doubt God’s Word...”
IF WE DON”T KNOW IT, WE’LL DOUBT IT
No Neutral Ground
“He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
Marriage - Government - Church - all ordained by God
To point to God and His glory
How are our marriages? Influenced by God, or by the world? (Wed. night study)
God’s Creation - His Divine Design
How dare we tell Him different?
What are you teaching kids?
What are you allowing kids to be taught?
God’s Word reliable? Trustworthy? In ALL areas
This is a big deal - the foundation is threatened, crumbling in many areas
We need to make sure it’s secure, and show our kids to stand on it
