I wonder if you have ever had a conversation with someone, or a personal thought of your own, along the following lines: “Why do I even need God? Life is pretty good without him, isn’t it? The comfort, security, and pleasure of modern life is seen to be good enough for most, so why bother with God?" This week, as we continue our series through the life of David & his heart for God, we’ll discover that such an attitude towards life truly does cause one to miss out – big time! In a very significant passage found in 2 Samuel 7, we’ll see why this is, as we encounter the everlasting God and the promise of his everlasting kingdom. A kingdom so spectacular and out of this world that only God himself, through his Son, can bring it into existence!
