Disobedience relating to Sin

Genesis 3:1–10
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Temptation to Disobey and sin

Genesis 3:1–8 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise…
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Matthew 4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
The process is clear. The Enemy dangles the lures in front of us, and we take the bait. Then, in a demonic twist, he turns on us and beats us up with accusations. -Hunt
satan transforms from the Enticer to the Excuser to the Accuser
As Enticer...
“Go ahead and sin; God will still love you”
“Just one more time, and you can stop.”
“Don’t worry; God will forgive you.”
“You deserve this, Don’t miss it!”
”Its a little sin, no one will ever know”
Satan will tell you that's okay to do these things, everyone else is doing it, it will not harm you.
Sin is a powerful tool which satan will attack you with. He knows your weaknesses because at times you show them to him. He also knows your strengths because at times you show that to him with pride saying I know I am strong here or there and I cannot be defeated in that area of my life. But that can become weakness thru overconfidence.

Transgression thru Disobedience of sin

Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
James 1:14–15 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Mark 7:21–23 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
satan transforms from the Enticer to the Excuser to the Accuser
As Excuser...
"You knew God would still love you, it's okay”
"The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak"
"You knew God would forgive you"
"The temptation was just too great"
Many great men and women have fell because of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Adam and Eve, David, Samson, and others
Satan will tell you once you commit the sin that you don't need to do anything, he will remind you of how that sin felt. He fails to remind you it is wrong and has a penalty and consequences.

Conclusion from Disobedience of sin

Genesis 3:7–8 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. 8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
James 1:14–15 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Guilt Filled Life
Satan is the first to condemn you after you commit sin. He is also the first to tell you it's okay to do it.
Satan wants you in misery, Jesus wants you free from misery, grief, and pain.
God will answer your Guilt with his Grace.
Breaking free from sin don't end with forgiveness, but it does begin there. Breaking free is a battle perhaps for the rest of your life.
Once sin takes a hold in your life it can become a stronghold because it will grow and multiply. Sin likes to cover itself with other sins.
satan transforms from the Enticer to the Excuser to the Accuser
As Accuser...
“God will never love you again.”
“You’ll never overcome this sin.”
“God won’t forgive you this time.”
“You’re just a loser.”
Godless Life
Isaiah 59:1–2 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; Neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, And your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Godless Death
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
It is a process to break free from the stronghold. You must understand you might have a setback but you must keep moving forward. The biggest key is to pray much over this and God will direct you and grant you what you need to become a victor over that sin.
Sin must be dealt with in your life, you can't ignore it, you can't hide it, you can't blame someone else for your sin, accept responsibility for it and put it in remission, then begin the recovery and reconciliation process. You will be tempted to do nothing with it, you will be tempted to ignore it, you will even be tempted to hide, but most of all you will be tempted to repeat it.
You can't do it alone, you need help. Help from the Father and your friends. Find someone to help hold you accountable.
God has a remedy for sin, it is forgiveness.
There is Good news, Jesus will not only forgive you but God puts your sins Out of His sight
