2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

satan wants Destruction

satan wants Dominion

" ye shall be as gods" Gen 3:5

wants you to think you can be like God and have God's knowledge

That Satan's ambition was not to become a fiend, but rather to become like the Most High. From this weeks Experiencing God day one bible study you read that Henry Blackaby noted in the Old Testament that when God spoke the recipient of that message knew two things. (1) That it was God speaking (2) What His message was.

And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice John 10:4

satan likes to say “If” When he tempted Christ he said these phrases

satan wants Disciples

satan wants you to obey him and not God

“command that these stones be made bread” Mt 4:3

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Co 11:3

satan wants worshipers

"if thou wilt worship me" Luke 4:7

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. 21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils 1 Cor 10:20-21

satan wants you to turn against God

"And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. 5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face." Job 2:4–5

satan wants Discord and Division

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; Mt 13:37–39

Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

1 John 3:14–16 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

satan is all about hate, God is love

look at all of the division he is causing these days.

I want to remind you that you do not have to live life in defeat under satans grasp but you can overcome thru Jesus.

1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Ephesians 6:10–12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

1 Peter 5:7–9 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
