7 ones…3 persons of God...
Unity - not like class unity… nor like dumbing things down so we can stay unified
Unity - not like rich people
Unity - not coming together to build something
Psalm 133:1–3 ESV
1 Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.

Big Idea: The unity we have is God-created, God-defined, and God-preserved. We accept it by faith and should live in it with joy.

The singularity of the Spirit’s work in the body

There is one body the Spirit is working in.

Jews and Gentiles
Church votes
We need each other not because we need each other but because we cannot be what we are without each other. When you pull back you hurt yourself more than anything else… Why? Because of the Spirit...

There is no other creative and sustaining power in the universe but the Spirit.

2 Timothy 1:7 ESV
7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Where else can you go to have hope.

There is only one positive future that we have hope in.

Singularity…COVID…China and Russia
Endgame… There is on other hope… every other ending is death.
We only have this hope, body, and Spirit because of the ...

The singularity of the Son’s provision of salvation

There is only one King who can deliver us from death.

You can not influence him or buy him off or manipulate him. There are kings who have conquered the markets, the emotions, the powers of this world but they all died. There is only one who has conquered death.

There is only one confession that we can trust in.

Many people say “Believe” but there is only one confession of belief that matters. We don’t dumb down what we believe because what our control of our beliefs doesn’t matter. It’s our confession of what God has done that matters. We preach the whole counsel of God.

There is only one unifying process that gives us this salvation.

Romans 6:3–4 ESV
3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

The singularity of the Father’s authority to provide

123.123.1.123

There is only one Father who loves.

John 3:16 ESV
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

There is only one who is over everything else.

The one who loves is also the one in charge! This is the definition of a good God. Where else could you go to get your prayers answered? Some go to temples or cut themselves or go on pilgrimages.

There is only one who is working in the church and through the church.

Sure, Satan does sow sin and division, but God is at work in the body, creating , providing.
You will never find anywhere else you can truly belong.

The unity of the Trinity in us

If the Spirit, the Son, and the Father have unified us, why would we create division?
if the Father, the Son and the Spirit have unified us, how could we think we are inadequate, imperfect, or unloved?
If the Son, the Father and the Spirit have unified us, how could this fail? How could we not succeed and glorify the one who has delivered us?
2 Corinthians 13:14 ESV
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

What do you believe?

Do you believe this? Or are you hoping for some other option? Some other way to have a meaningful destiny? Some other way to ultimate happiness? Some other way to belong?
Hebrews 11:1 ESV
1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:6 ESV
6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Is it alive to you?
