Do the right thing in the right way

Boaz had so many other options to do things incorrectly, but he didn’t
He waited to marry Ruth until the other guy backed out. (v. 6
He took Ruth as a wife even though her children wouldn’t bear his name, they would in fact be called Mahlon’s children
He was willing to split up his estate to children that wouldn’t even be counted as his. (5)
Often, doing the right thing in the right way can cost you
Boaz had to sacrifice to do the right thing
Doing what God wants will often cost something, it’s a risk, but the reward is great.
You could lose friends
You could get in trouble
You could lose relationships
You could sacrifice success
But… you can gain so much more
Eternal life with God
A relationship with Him
Things can work out great, like with Boaz, Ruth, and Naomi

Judah was the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez was the father of Hezron, and Hezron the father of Ram. Ram was the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon the father of Salmon. Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab, Boaz was the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse. Jesse was the father of David the king. David was the father of Solomon by Bathsheba who had been the wife of Uriah.
Boaz was born by Rahab, a prostitute who was initially going Israel
Maybe that’s why he was so quick to care for the plight of Ruth
Ruth gets in the genealogy of Jesus
This woman, a widow from a demon worshipping country, meets a guy from Bethlehem, and because of that Jesus is born there!
This is why I’m able to tell you guys to trust in God!
God works with people then the same as now
None of these people knew what God was going to do, but God had a plan for them, and He has a plan for you.
