Good morning, and good morning and good morning.

Play some music.

Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning from the Mount Olive. Baptist Church. We welcome you once again to miss just from the mount and we ask that you would send it to the doors and join us this morning. As we preach. The Lord's word. A man has been well, and that all things have gone well for you and I pray at the same time that that, you know, that the Lord is working all things for your good and for his glory. And so just for a few moments today, we're going to talk about something. I think that all of us like to embrace and like to understand because when you're in the midst of trial and tribulation, the thing that we have to all know is that there is not only a word from the Lord, but there is also a response from the Lord too often what happens. This is that we're so used to just people saying they're going to pray for us that maybe sometimes we feel like maybe God didn't hear us. When we pray and talk to him, but I just stopped by to tell you that the Lord has heard your prayer and that God is hearing your prayers and that he's going to show us just in a few moments what? Our response should be. Now. Just want to share with you that the servant God's servant David. When did things that God's servant David did was he talked to the Lord often and in talking to the Lord, he often times had the opportunity to not only talk to Lord, but also see God's great response. And so today just for a few moments. We'll want to get the opportunity to see that same thing and how the Lord responded to David at those times. Again. Let's open in a word of prayer and we will be on our way. Heavenly Father, we thank you. Oh God for your goodness to us. We pray, dear heavenly, father that you was only you can with speak to our hearts today. Lord. And we pray daily for all that in doing so Lord and speaking to our hearts father that you would also move and bring Comfort father to those Lord. We're going to trials and tribulations and father through distress, we pray and ask that today May the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart. Be acceptable. Oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

So yes, good morning guy. Again. I just want you to turn with me. If you will to a very familiar passage of scripture in the Book of Psalms Psalm. 34:4 will Psalm 34:4 turn there with me. You'll see some familiar words. I want two things. We want to do is run a camp right there. In verses 1 through 10 this morning.

the text says,

I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord. The Humble shall hear thereof and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears. They looked into him and when lightning their faces were not ashamed, this poor man, cried and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him and delivered them. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man that trusted in him or feel the Lord say hit you his Saints for, there is no want to them that fear Him. The Young Lions du Lac and suffer hung up, but they that seek the Lord shall not suffer any good thing. Now, beloved, 12 things. I really appreciate about this particular book. In this particular text, and is that it continues to emphasize over and over, what the response of believe it should be. You know, what I'm finding today? Is that Believers today? And lied about current prices, have chosen, all kinds of responses. They've chosen to embrace other means, and other Manors of how they choose to celebrate the. There's some folks who even has selected at Nisha when it comes to believing and embracing God, but but there comes a time that I lies When Trials and troubles and tribulations come upon us. And when they come, we have to have a response, we don't just need help. We, we don't need just the word from The Lord of a. We don't need just a word of encouragement. We need Deliverance a tetanus. Not the case was that, that happened to some Christian. Some Christian missionaries in October 21st, 2021. This group of 12 adults and five children, including an 8 month year old was eight month. Old was, was kidnapped by Haitian gang called the my walls in October. They were visiting an orphanage, and the next thing they know, they found themselves in a situation that was beyond their control. And in the midst of that being beyond their control. I'm quite sure. Then that getting just a word from the Lord. So to speak from people praying for them that they knew that was good. But but there's some Hangouts day, they need to happen. So this passes that I've read in your hearing this morning is the testimony of the David, the situation or contacts me. Fine and 1st. Samuel, chapter 21, verse 11. David was dealing with a situation of significant. No end that Dave was dealing with a very narcissistic and maniacal King by the name of all things. He was jealous and he was angry. And so one evening. I saw Sun by the name of Jonathan D. The d, The Heir Apparent. According to blood was what's a good friend today? But they were best friend. They were Ace Coon, Boon lifelong, come and pile. Their souls will knit together. The Bible says, But but but understanding the nature, what was going on David and Jonathan had this packing and Jonathan said that he was dangerous for him that he would give him a sign in and then so he he did. And so he finds that his friend that he will not see, not on this side of Heaven runs away and finds himself in Exile. Now, we know that David life was such that he did not become king for a while. I believe it was a significant number of years that they've become king. But he was the king that God had chosen for himself. So David, he he ran. And when he ran, he ran to a place that had to a priest there. In the priest was name of a hamelekh, my understanding hear the text says it very, very well that when David got to this King, he this priest, he began to talk to him and And it and in fact, he was so good at what he was doing that. He he deceived him. And so David ran away from this particular King and this particular priest and ran from the priest right into the arms. If you will, the hands of the king that now watch this. Now, David is, is running. He's in Exile, and he falls into the hands of the very people who had heard all of the accolades of David fact, they even they even said that, is this not the same? Can't just up the same David that the people said they saw has killed his thousands and David. His ten thousands is in the same David that people were dancing in the streets about this same David and tell David now is quaking in his boots when he stands before a chance of gath quaking in his boots. The people knew we was David knew that it was true and I saw David then. Begins to play this act, David allows his his beard. He had allowed his beard to to grow long. And so he allowed spittle, the fall down into his his beard and then nnnn and he he began to act as if he was a mad guy by speaking Mad Men by speaking gibberish, and things of that nature. And so, King Egg at she made King. Guess she hate you and David he said to himself. He said what in the world would I bring a Madman like this? In the midst of my camp. And at that point, David was delivered and that's where this writing these words, in Psalm 34 telling, if a cat in Hebrew is written in alphabetical order, the other thing about it is that David David loves the Lord so much and he loves God's word. So much just tells you how much he loves it. And not only, that is the name of the Lord is mentioned here, 16 time. So David is just calling us. And he said, I just want to give you 3 reasons. Just three things that that you need to understand about why I praise him now and I watch this and know where is he could stick around save this way, you know, you don't need to take my word for you might need to try that for yourself, but nevertheless he says he has three reasons why I praise the Lord or three ways that that you should approach the Lord as result of him. Delivering you. Not the first thing he says here. He says we are all praise the Lord. Yes. That's what he says to you. He says I will bless the Lord at all times. I want you to know the words to the word blessed in the word bowls and the word magnify all speak to the idea of that. What we should be doing, is lifting the name of the David says here. This is my resting this position. I Will Bless The Lord win at all times, and his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Oh, yeah, he says he says look here. He said no matter where you find me at what I'm doing bad with. I'm doing good weather up or when I'm down, whether I am Richard, whether I am poor of whether I am king of where the Amish Shepherd, I will continually I will always be constantly giving God praise. I will be giving to God that which belongs to him. Thomas Haddon Spurgeon. Said there was a guy by the name of that Thomas had the spirit until she meets. Mr. Thomas Watson said that when we pray with more like men, but when we praise God with more like Angels, you know, Angel stay up there, angel that stand before, God's throne and all they do is give praise to him. All they do is, give accolades to him. They recognize that there's nobody at work for the other than him to give praise for him. And that, that follows that goes into the next Heat versus verse to when he says, my soul shall make her boast in the Lord. In other words. I got anything to brag about if I got anything to talk about anything that's worth anything. He says I'm going to do it what the prepositional phrase in the Lord, that whole lot of folk today that they talked about how many billions of dollars that have a talk about how much power they have to talk about how much influence they have to talk about, who they know, they talk about where they work, or what car, they drive, or where they live. But all of that, one day is going to go away from here one day. Guess what? They're going to take the car and you have and they going to send out a way of somebody going by the house. Should you have there? Somebody else would inherited the job that you have somebody younger. Smarter brighter will get it out of the job. You have them. They packed it up and send that over to China. But if you are both thing in the Lord in the Lord lives forever, guess what? You will never be disappointed. Because God is who he says he is and we can always In the Lord, that is we can always lift him up. But watch this the responses The Humble share here. They're well and will be glad and I watch this. You know, I don't know if you've ever had this to happen to you, but you can be in the presence of those individuals who will tell you straight out that they're humble. Now. Usually, when you talking to people, they say that they're humble. You got to say, if your humble then you don't have to tell anybody that you're humble. Everybody knows that your humble. Amen, but watch this, but then you got the flip side of that. You have people who are so arrogant that the humble don't want to hear it. Because, you know what they saying? Here comes old mister blow. Autumn is blowing hard again, talking about what they can do and what they got. But it's the people who know that people deserve the praise that will join in and say, you know what? This person deserves that this person is a person that's humble. This person, the person that deserves that price in this particular case, the humble sit here that you boasting in the Lord. And They should be glad you know, why more than likely because they too will boast in the Lord. So then he goes on. He says, oh magnify the Lord with me. Other words. He said he's enjoying everybody. This is the most logical thing that you should do. This is this. Most spiritual thing that you can do. This just makes sense o magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together. Social Davis at the first thing you need to do is your proper response to all that God is done and knowing that how you should respond to him. Is number one. You are to praise the Lord, but he goes on to something else. He's a nut should be praising, but we should trust him. You know, there's something about trust that that that helps us to get through life. Okay. Now everybody is trusting something, trust me on that. Somebody is trusting something somebody's trusting, something to eat and nothing else. You trust in your own to intuition your own skepticism, your own particular perspective about something. You're trusting that okay more than anything else. Want to think that I've noticed a lot of times about trusting. Is a look at how people come in and sit down. They come in. And they test stuff. They they don't test anything to see is me. They don't test it. They just use the nobody walks up to a chair except for, in some cases where I work at. Sometimes we have these chairs that kind of pop up and popped back and so every now and then a person would do that but in most cases the person will walk up to a chair and just Place their entire weight on it. That's what it is. Silencing never seen the show before Dan their life, but that's what they'll do. They'll just put their whole entire weight on it. And so David, he says, he says, I want to give you a reason here. Not only why you should trade it all, but why you should trust the Lord? He says, I saw the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears. I want you to know he had that these next couple of phrases. He he, he brings out some significant things as to why, you know, you can trust the Lord. He says that he started. First of all, he looked for God. In other words, he he went out after if he don't, he started me, pray, pray to him. He talked to him, develop, this relationship with him. And so, he sought the Lord, he was Earnest in his, his looking for the Lord and he said, he heard me watch that. He heard me, he inclined his ear to me, and it's something about a person who was looking for the Lord with all thy heart and you can say that with David, David was one. He had some things that happened later on this life. But as far as we can see, David always to David heart was always hot toward God, he never, he never shrunk back from it. He, he did things, like, some believe is doing and believing what I'm saying to you is that, yeah, you might be in the midst of a challenge right now, but you haven't abandoned the Lord. And guess what? Since you haven't abandoned him. He hasn't abandoned you and it's in the midst of your situation, whatever that may be. Whatever that may be bad Economic Times, you need to change a job situation. You haven't challenges in your relationship, with your husband on you, with your wife, or your children are, are messing with you right now. It says here, that David saw the Lord. And in the midst of seeking the Lord, the Lord heard him watch this and delivered him from all his fears, you know, when the things that job said when he was going through a difficult time. He said all those things that I feared have come upon me, you know, we have to understand that fear paralyzes us, it restricts our ability to think. Clearly when your motorbike motivated by fear. You generally speaking, you choose the wrong thing, you made the wrong action because you choosing it as the acronym said, false evidence appearing real. You you're making decisions based upon False evidence is not true. We know that the Bible says that God has not given us a spirit of fear. But of power love, and a sound mind. So David says, and your situation, when he sought the Lord, the Lord delivered him out of all his fears. Now, imagine here. You are exiled. You have no home. You were running from a great power if you would run from a maniacal leader and do you run into the very individual that you fought on the one hand and know that this person has every right to strike you down and yet, you slip through their fingers. I don't know about you, but God has a way of doing that when you call upon him. You can think that you're down completely you can fall with the ball on the one-yard line. You can make a cataclysmic mistake catastrophic mistake so much so that you think that's a wrap for you. But if you seek in the Lord, he can deliver you. That's what he brings out here. He got rescued pulled out of his situation because he saw the little but not only that he said they looked at. Look done to him and my lightning their faces were not ashamed. Somebody says this way. He saves us. He keeps has, he satisfies has and he senses, they going, they said there was light watch this. There was light life and Liberty because they trusted in the you know, when you trust in the Lord it is singing dog for a minute. It kissing challenging for a minute. But guess what will happen? What will eventually happen is the Lord will deliver, you know, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a train, it's God calling you saving you because you trusted him. He goes on here. He says, he says he goes on. He says, and the same in the first he says this poor man. Watch this. I'm sorry. He said they were lighting and their faces were not a shame. Why? Because if you put your trust in him, you won't have to hide your face, you know, nothing worse. Been trusting something and it does. You significant damage besieged in the in the, in the word picture here that you need to stand is like when your shame or something you have your hands on your face, your face is covered, but see what? God you don't have to have your face covered. That is to show that your shape. You have your hands lifted in, praise to God because he has delivered, you. We see right here that because they feared, the Lord, the thing that the Lord did was help to bring change. Great change to them. Yes. He did. God was good. And God did do exactly what he said. That's not the response. Here is an inverse 8, 9/2 verse 9 and 10. It says versus 8090 says, I'm sorry about that fear the lord and delivered him. There's a to dis two different blizzards. Does a play on words and verse for he says fears. That kind of fear is Tara. Okay, but then when you get to the fear in verse 7 that they had to deal with rubber want your worship to those that worship him. He said the angel Lord and Camp around about them that fear Him and delivery this. Yes, that's what we see you. God delivers those individuals who fear Him. He goes on here. He goes on here, and he says, and these next couple versus not, only should we watch this trust the Lord. He says that there's a result of trust and loyalty. He says, oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man that trusted in him and you have to understand something here. That Charles Haddon Spurgeon says that faith is the souls taste that is when you have invested your faith in the Lord, that gives you the taste of what it means to experience the freedom and the liberty, and the Deliverance that God has for you. So he goes on here. He says, oh taste and see that the Lord is good. And I'm where look, look. I just want you to try them out for yourself. You don't have to ask me, trying out for yourself, Praise Him for yourself. Watch this. Trust him for yourself. But finally, he says fear Him for yourself. So watch this. Praise the Lord, trust the Lord, but also fear the lord. So, here we go to this D concluding vs. David has already told us and vs103 this respite disposition. And posture to God is, I'm going to be in a constant watch this position. I pray, that is my heart will always be seeking to praise the Lord, but he also said something else. He says, when it comes down to my life and my, my my, my life and my position and no matter where I'm at and what I'm doing, I would always choose to trust the Lord. And then finally, he has this last thing to fear. The lord protects says and verses 9 and 10. It says it's for there is no warrant. To them that you and I want you to know that the worst fear is mentioned here. No less than four times. The first time it's mentioned in verse for but that's in reference to our trials and tribulations and I'll Tara's but we also see that he talks about fear again and verse 7 that's reverential fear. We also see that inverse 90 fear the lord. What do you say to know? Where's worship him? Give him praise honor and Glory. Give him that, which is due to him. Okay, but then we also see something else. We also see him say that in the midst of the sphere. That that again, that those people who fear Him, they shall not lack anything that watch that first eight. He said that the person that fears in him, basically, that person will see that the Lord is good because he has trusted in him. We also see right here in verse 9, that the one who fears him will lack nothing. They will be satisfied. Sated, if you will quickly sufficiently taken care of, but then he gives us an illustration verse 10. the first 10 is is very telling because what he says is that says, this is this, is that as smart as we can be, in this particular case, as cunning as this Beast is, As crafty as this Beast is. They still lack satisfaction. I don't know if you've ever seen any any type of wildlife pictures of shows but you see that lions and all them. They're always roaming around hyenas and tigers. And and one that they always want me around foraging trying to find enough food for them to be satisfied. But the thing is, he say is about them. He said that even though they're powerful, they will they will lack and suffer hunger, but watch this, but they that seek the Lord shall not want lack, any good thing.

Any good thing? You know, lots of times. We we have, we have once we have desires for many things, you know, nice car. Nice house. Nice job, husband wife, children who are beating all of that. We, we want all of that and we deem those all as good. But remember, God is not in the business of making us comfortable. God is in the business of making us conformable, to the image of Jesus Christ. And that ultimately, for you and me is good. But we have done those things that David talks about. That we praise him. When? As often as we get the opportunity to talk about these pathetic, folk that every time you ask them because they say praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. That's not, that's not considered, praise the Lord. That's that's parroting something praise. The Lord means that we've been very intentional. About directing. That which God is worthy of which is praise to him. We know that because use the word boast, but also in not only just praising him, but also trusting it reclining on him giving to him those things that we treasure knowing that, that they're in better hand giving to him, most importantly ourselves. And in doing that, also fearing him. Worshipping him. Acknowledging him. As the God of all gods and doing. So we can acknowledge with truthfulness. That we don't have to have anybody to ask us about God. Tell us about God, we tried him for ourselves. Those are the three reasons why David would say I continually I give praise and honor to God, you know, those missionaries that with were Christian a Ministries day, they suspect for about 2 months or so. To mom. Stay. They prayed. They prayed and they pray, they did. What David did? They sought God? They praised God. An end because of this. We know that they feared God. That's on December 21st, 2021. Those hostages from that particular group, those hostages taken captive by the Haitian gang.

Released each and every one of their Christmas. The people rejoiced they were glad they were praising God. It will giving worship to God. They trusted him and he delivered them out of all their fears. I'm 11. Let me share something with you. We praise God. That. did that did that took place that they were delivered and they were able to To be released. Sometimes it doesn't happen that way.

But even if it doesn't happen. We still should praise him. Trust him. Inferior.

Thank you, Lord, God for this day. Thank you, Father for your goodness to us. Pray God, that you would.

Press home to us. Father that we don't need anybody to tell us about God that we tried it before I selves. So God, we thank you for the reasons to give you honor. Praise that David has given us in Psalm 34. We ask now God that you might touch the heart up. Someone Lord, who might be out there in the audience today Father who might not know you Lord that they would get praise honor and glory to you that they would give their lives to you. Today. We ask in Jesus name. Amen. If you understand my voice and you listen to this broadcast today, I asked you something to do two things. First of all, you say, Lord Jesus. I am a sinner. Forgive me. My sent coming to my heart, take over my life and make me depression. Want me to be? And saying that prayer is not the prayer. But is you declaring your trust in the Lord? Your faith in him? That's the thing that causes you. To be save your trust in him. You having faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary cross. The Bible says it this way. For with the heart man, believeth unto righteousness, but with the mouth confession, is made unto salvation, for whosoever. Shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Have you done that today? If you said that prayer and you believe in your heart, that God has raised Jesus from the dead. Then you beloved are saved. Want to welcome you to the family of God. Choose, please to send me an email at Reb Stanley at hotmail.com and I'll try to make sure we get some materials to you to help you. To have that walk that beginning Walk With Jesus Christ. At this time today is communion Sunday at at the Mount Olive Baptist Church and you free to join us in that process today and You're touring with me there, the 1st Corinthians chapter. 11, you'll find these words. The Apostle Paul is talking. He's talking about Jesus Christ and all that he has done for us in this. 11:23 Supply receive the Lord that which are also delivering the you that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed to bread. And when he had given, thanks, he break it in. Takes it taken eat. This is my body, which is for you, which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me. And then he says, he in verse 25, never the same man hit. He took the cup also, he took the cup. When he accepts saying this cup is the New Testament in my blood. This duty is off as you drink it. And remember to me. Soulistic take up. Just a brief moment to pray and get your accounts with the Lord and then we will take of the communion.

Amen.

the Bible says,

And when he had taken when he had given, thanks. He break it and said, take eat. This is my body, which is for you broke, which is broken for you. This do remember to me, Father. We just asked Lord God. We thank you, Father, for this symbol of remembrance of what Jesus did on the cross. Thank you. In Jesus name. Amen.

When the Bible says as well, after the same manner, also, he took the cup when he has sucked saying this cup is New Testament in my blood. This do years off as you drink it in remembrance of me, but it drink together.

Let's pray. Father, thank you so much for giving us great symbols to remember the cost at Christ. Paid on calvary's cross and pray now. Oh God that you was only you can wood. father, that you was only, you can Wood. Bless us. Indeed. Help us to live lies. Father, commensurate to the commitment. Be made to you. And the cost that you paid on Calvary. But we ask in Jesus name. Amen. But I want to thank you so much for being with us today and boy what and I look forward to you being with us on next Sunday. Until next time. May God richly bless you. My beloved by by.
