Jesus is the Captain of our Salvation (10)

He was perfected through suffering.
Hebrews Theological Implications

This perfecting was for the purpose of qualifying or preparing Christ for his high priestly service

He is the archegos - the source, the author, the founder of our salvation.
Our hope is not grounded in a mere mortal, else it would be fallible.
God’s plan is to use suffering to prepare us for glory!

Jesus is our Completer of our Sanctification (11-15)

Yet Jesus is also our Brother, and the one who sanctifies us.
You are in process of being sanctified.
Jesus is our example, who demonstrated in His humanity how trust the Father.
He also is our advocate that has defeated our enemy the Devil!

Jesus is our Comforter in Suffering (16-18)

He is our faithful High Priest, who knows what it is to suffer and be tested.
He aids those who are suffering, persecution, trial, etc.
There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus, No, not one! No, not one!
None else could heal all our soul’s diseases - No, not one! No, not one!
Jesus knows all about our struggles, He will guide till the day is done; There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus. No, not one! No, not one!
No friend like Him is so high and holy .... and yet no friend is so meek and lowly
There’s not an hour that He is not near us … no night so dark but His love can cheer us!
