Focused - Distractions Detract

Proverbs 17:24 Wisdom is in the sight of him who has understanding, But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.
You cannot continue Full Speed Ahead if you allow your focus to be distracted while you are on the journey!
“Guide Me Thy Great Jehovah, I Am A Pilgrim In This Barren Land, I Am Weak But You Are Mighty, Hold Me With Your Powerful Hand; Bread Of Heaven, Bread Of Heaven, Feed Me Evermore And Evermore. . .”
One of the most difficult aspects of walking in The Way, is remaining focused. So many distractions, so many detours, so many obstacles. . . Distractions detract you from God’s Word and resting in:
His Plan
His Will
His Way
His Word
Purpose
2 Corinthians 4:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Our flesh, natural human instinct has the propensity to deviate, rush, frustrate, become anxious for results, or even violate our focus. Violate Our Focus? What do you mean? Yes violate - Philippians 3:17-19 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.
Focusing on the things that seem to be missing, or lost, can cause you to violate your soul to the point you allow the thing to become your “god”
Don’t focus on a thing so much that it consumes you and dims your focus from the promise!
Yes, I realize that we would love to have it now, and realize the results now, but the Bible says in Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
In the midst of the thing, when you are experiencing intense frustration and cannot seem to remain focused, you just allow yourself to be reminded of God’s Word!
Focused On God’s Word will keep you and sustain you!
God’s Word is only one way - Right - Psalm 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth.
Because God cannot lie, because His Word must accomplish the thing it is set out to accomplish, we must focus on His word and not anything else!
His Word/Promises are never changing, He cannot fail - So we have an assurance in His Word that yes, we will overcome this!
There is not even a shadow of variableness in His Promised Word James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Because you know God sent it, then you have no reason to doubt it!
I have not been commissioned by God this morning to come tell you something you don’t know, I did not come to be so deep and speak to you eloquently, I came this morning with The True Right Word of God, and to let you know that when you Remain Focused On God’s Word, you will realize that you have The Anointing Whom will guide you in everything! 1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
We focus not on the world, but on His Word Who is True! We know that the World is passing away, therefore, we abide forever because we are not anxious due to the current circumstances, because we allow His Word abide, dwell in me!
The reason we tend to seem too weak and overwhelmed is because we allow our focused to be distracted.
We allow our hearts to be troubled! God seeks our trust and obedience to His Word - You cannot allow your feelings to cause you to miss the Truth of His Word!
God told the people to remember the days of old, when I brought you out of the bondage, from oppression!
They were too consumed with their own thinking they could not allow themselves to rest in The Powerful Word of God!
The Children of Israel were so focused on the wilderness, their thinking because hardened.
And we know what a hard head does. . . 1 John 2:24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
We have too much evidence of God’s Providential Care, His Sovereignty, His Mercy and His Grace! His Promise Keeping Power!
We don’t need to know how He’s going to do it, just rest in know that He can do it!
We have an example in Christ Jesus, Whom has gone before us and became us so that we would be able to remain steadfast in this faith!
Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
When you are anchored in God’s Word - You will not be pulled away from knowing that regardless of the storm that may be rising up around me know, I am safe in His Care!
When I feel like giving up, given in, throwing in the towel and want to quit - I allow the Anointing Of The Holy Spirit guide me into remembrance of Whom became me so I would know that I can make it through!
Hebrews 2:18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
I may feel tempted to give up, and just quit, but when I think of my brother, Jesus The Christ! The Branch, Whom extended His Limbs, so that we would have safety in the times of trouble!
The Word became flesh, full of Grace and Truth - So we have to remain Focused On/In God’s Word!
Lest I drift away - Lest I will be weakened by the snares of the enemies - Less I be anxious, for I know through Jesus The Christ, I have access to The Father Of Lights!
I read where Saul, before he became King, anointed by God to save the people from the Philistine - Yes, God had a purpose for Saul, but he lost focus because of his own understanding!
The Bible says that they were on a journey to find the three lost donkeys!
Then they went to inquire about the Prophet (seer) to see if he could tell them their path. . .
They found the Prophet Samuel - Whom God had whispered in his ear about the encounter he would have with Saul - He told him that Saul would be king and he was to anoint him accordingly!
Samuel was about to go up and eat, for they would not eat until he blessed it! They were focused on The Word of God!
But Saul and his peeps were on a journey to find, what they thought, the donkeys - But God had another plan already created - God had greater in store for Saul!
1 Samuel 9:20 But as for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not be anxious about them, for they have been found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on you and on all your father’s house?”
We spend so much time searching the world for our place, position and success - When you focus on God, what you thought was success cannot even be compared to what God has in store for you!
Yes, you set out to look for the three donkeys - But God has greater!
Yes, it seems like everyone around you is being blessed, you are waiting for your time, but watch this:
1 Samuel 9:23–24 NKJV
23 And Samuel said to the cook, “Bring the portion which I gave you, of which I said to you, ‘Set it apart.’ ” 24 So the cook took up the thigh with its upper part and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, “Here it is, what was kept back. It was set apart for you. Eat; for until this time it has been kept for you, since I said I invited the people.” So Saul ate with Samuel that day.
God is saying you today, to sit down and rest yourself from worry, anxiousness and doubt! Focus On My Word - For I have prepared the table and I have kept back your portion for this time and this season!
Christ Got up so that you may have your portion! Come in where the table is spread. . .
