The world seeks to distort the gospel of deliverance and enslave Christians once again. In Galatians, Paul proves we had the correct good news from the beginning, and those who believe in it have ultimate freedom from their enemies.

“Communication without clarity often results in confusion.”
Illustration - Grocery shopping for my wife i.e., picking up the correct supplies and purchasing food. During the shopping trip when I get confused I can make a phone call to get clarity with Sarah on what I need to purchase.
Illustration - Telephone game - Disrupted communication alters the message. When the chain of communication is broken, the end receives a very different message than the first.
Background in Galatians - Some Jewish men slipped into the church and disrupted the gospel and have alter its message. Accusing Paul for being a people pleaser. Paul defends himself by saying he recieved his message right from divine source - Jesus Christ.
Galatians 2:4–5 ESV
4 Yet because of false brothers secretly brought in—who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into slavery— 5 to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.
The enemies say, Jesus + something
Paul’s gospel says, Jesus + nothing
Your enemies’ mission is to get you to believe that Jesus isn’t enough to be apart of God’s family.
The enemies desire to bring us back into enslavement where we were before we knew Jesus.
John 8:34–36 ESV
34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
DT: When you believe in the gospel, no longer can the enemy control you as their slave because God's deliverance has taken you to freedom.
Freedom to do what?
Galatians 2:7–10 ESV
7 On the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with the gospel to the circumcised 8 (for he who worked through Peter for his apostolic ministry to the circumcised worked also through me for mine to the Gentiles), 9 and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. 10 Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.
We use our freedom to live for God, share the gospel, and take care of one another e.i., grow in holiness, invite people to church, and show compassion on those who are hurting.
We can use our freedom to make a change.
Believing the gospel turns your slavery into freedom.
