A New Look At John 15

at least a different look at the first 17 verses of John 15. You are probably asking yourself what has this got to do with preparing for the end. I am going to try to answer that with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Would you bow you heads as I kneel and seek the Holy Spirit to speak through me. (close with the Lords prayer)
Amen
We will go to the 15th chapter of John in just minute, but first I want to share a poem writen by Annie Johnson Fli
God hath not promised Skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways All our lives through; God hath not promised Sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, Peace without pain. But God hath promised Strength for the day, Rest for the labor, Light for the way, Grace for trials, Help from above, Unfailing sympathy, / Undying love.
Annie Johnson Flint
Please open your Bibles to the fifteenth chapter John and we will start with verse one. I am going to do something that I love to do and that is to go one verse at a time, and pick it part and hopefully explain it so that we all understand it better. All I ask is that you give it a chance, don’t tune me out yet, you just might find out you will enjoy it, and hopefully lean something new.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the Husbandman.
I am the true source of truth and everything you need for your journey, because every thing is watched over by my Father.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Everyone claiming to be a Christian but does not have me dwelling in their heart and is not doing the things that I do, and has shut me off completely my Father will take away. But everyone claiming my name and has me dwelling in their hearts and is showing it by doing the things that I do my Father will send test and trails in their path that they may grow stronger and will do more things like I have done.
Now ye are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you.
You become stronger Christians by reading the Bible that I have given you, and by my example. Keep me in your hearts.
Abide in me, and I in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye , except ye abide in me.
You must walk with me and keep in my word and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Remember if you get self confident and think you can make it on your own, you cannot. You must allow me into your heart everyday all day and keep reading my word and letting the Holy Spirit guide you and clean you. Without me you will fall away and perish.
(lets look at the word abide for a minute.
Abide, Translated
The Hebrew word for abide in the Old Testament is וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב – yashab. It is defined the same way as the English word abide, but it also includes concepts of interpersonal relationships about being in a shared space: “…habitations, haunt, inhabit, make to inhabit, inhabitant, make to keep house, lurking, marry, marrying, place bring again to place.”
The Hebrew definition gives us a deeper understanding of abiding. It reflects a deep, personal relationship and personal connection.
The Greek word for abide used most frequently in the New Testament was menō – μένω. This word is translated much the same as the English definition: “to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy): – abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry (for), thine own.” The relational element of abiding is still there, but as part of concept of “staying.”I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I an him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.
Remember that I am the only source the only way to salvation, by walking with me everyday and by studying my word everyday, you become stronger christians and you will be sharing what I have done for you. Remember I am the only way to salvation
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, is withered; and men gather them , cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Because when you don’t read my word everyday, and you don’t walk with me, and I am not in your heart, you will lose out on Heaven and eternal life. Because you will fall away from the truth and become a false hearted christian, thinking you are saved when you are not. The angels will gather you up at the last day and trow you into the lake of fire, and you will be eternally lost.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye can ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.
If you keep me in your heats, and my words are in your heart, you can ask what ever you like, according to my Fathers will and He will give it to you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Because you are a devote and sincere christian, my Father is glorified, and you will be able to share your faith even more, and win souls for the kingdom. You are truly my disciples.
As my Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
You know how much my Father loves me, and the same way He has loved me, I have loved you. Continue on your walk knowing how much I love you.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in His love.
As long as you keep all the commandments I have given you, you will bask in my love. Keep the commandments the same way I have kept all the commandments from my Father, and bask in His love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
Everything He has sent us through His word, He has done that we will be full of joy and happiness, and it will remain in our heart, and that we can make our salvation sure. We will be completely full when we experience eternal life with our Lord.
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends
I am giving you a new command, it is imperative that you listen and do as I ask. My commandment is this, that you love each other, I want you to love each other the same way I love you. The greatest love, in fact greater than anyone else has shown. In fact no greater love can anyone show than to lay down their life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
You act like true friends, because you the do all the things in tell you to do. This is what friends do they love each other and trust one another.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
I do not call you servants nor will I going forward. Servants do not know what the master does all the time. I call you my friends and indeed you are, for I have told all that my Father has told me, I have kept nothing back.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Remember you did not choose me, I made the first move and chose each of you. Not only did I choose you but I taught you and I ordained you as ministers and sent you as missionaries to go and bring fruit and that your fruit would remain always. Because of all this you can go to my Father and ask Him to supply your needs and because you ask in my name, He will supply them.
These things I command you, that ye love one another.
Love each other as I have show you and as I have and do love you. Do all these things I have commanded you to do, and above all love each other.
