Time has brought us to another year, 2022. Almost 2000 years have come and gone in, what the bible describes as, the Last days. Regardless of how it may seem today, God is still in full control. We live, breathe, and exist within His sovereignty - Acts 17:28.
God is eternal. We are in the age of time where life begins and ends.
The Present Age
Romans 5:12 Sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—
God has made a way! God so loved the world that He sent His only son, Jesus. Whosoever will believe in Him and receive Him, will not perish, but have everlasting life.
In Christ, death is defeated! There is coming a day when sin and death will be no more. All who are in Christ will inherit eternal life. All who don’t know Him, all who are without God, will inherit eternal damnation – the second death – eternal separation from God and from the land of the living.
Everything is working and moving to that end. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.” Matthew 24:35
UNTIL THEN - What is God’s will for His people in the year 2022?
God’s Administration
My friend, God’s will in these last days hasn’t changed. His will is the church.
God’s
Ephesians 3:8–12 To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; 10 so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places (spiritual realm).
{The heavenly host of heaven and the principalities and powers of Hell witness the wisdom of God through the church – the unification of both Jews and Gentiles (all peoples) into one body.}
11 This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,
12 in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.
The Faithfulness of God
The Church has a sure foundation which is Christ Jesus who declared, “Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it.”
Philippians 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Galatians 6:9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
