Sermon Tone Analysis

Thank you.

All right.

We are talking about God's Providence.

And as as we look at God's Providence, this you would think would be a great New Year's message.

I mean what better message then talking about a guy who was providential, who knows tomorrow, what tomorrow holds and even takes care of tomorrow.

I mean, that would be a great New Year's message, but I didn't do it on New Year's.

We're doing it today and truth be told it could be done any Sunday.

Because it's you and I look at life as we go through life you and I have no clue.

What tomorrow holds?

But God.

But God, does I want you to look at the definition?

The hell I would register Define providence.

He stays this Providence, a Divine guidance or care.

God conceived.

God considered as the power sustaining in guiding human destiny.

That is the definition of a Providence.

Look at Providence, making provision for the future marked by Forsyth you and I serve and worship a God, who not only has foresight, but knows tomorrow, just as good as today or yesterday.

I could stop right there and you can leave with that truth.

And man.

I hope that would impact your life.

We are looking at a providential god.

It would be uncertainties that you and I phased and day out with the uncertainties of a new year ahead of us because it seems this time of year.

We always look ahead an entire year.

I don't know why we do that.

We have no clue what it was like, man.

I'm looking ahead to 2022 and I don't know.

No.

You don't know what tomorrow, holds much, less a year.

But he does.

And we come to this, this passage in in Genesis today as we look at Genesis 46 and in church.

I hope and I pray that you are encouraged by today's message.

If you are not, you're just not listening.

You're not paying attention to what God is showing us and reviewing for us in his word today.

Think about it.

You would consider being in a situation where the people around you, despise you.

As a blessing.

The environment in which you are in is an environment where the people don't want to be around you.

As they go into Egypt, they are placed in isolation.

It's kind of a weird place and isolation over and Goshen.

Which just so happens to be the best of the land number of times over and over?

Right there by the Nile.

It's Rush.

It's fertile ground.

And it's far away from any Egyptian.

How could something good come from there?

Joseph advised, his family to state that they were cheaper.

This is not a why he was Shepherds.

And there is this conversation among the theologians was he saying, say your Keepers wife's.

Not Shepherds, really?

They're synonymous.

It's interesting that even though pharaoh and the Egyptians really despise Shepherds.

They don't want anything to do with them.

Remember that they would not even eat with Joseph position.

The Egyptian would not eat at the same as Joseph.

They said they wanted total separation.

And is Joseph brings his family?

And he said make sure you tell them this.

What foresight?

Your own.

Why would you do that?

There was wisdom in this.

Joseph, and God, I believe God meeting through Joseph leadership there in the land.

As he shares that information Egyptians or like we will go nowhere near that.

Despised.

What a beautiful way to maintain.

The identity.
