This follows the prayer for laborers
Matthew 9:37-38 “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.””
The purpose of being a disciple is to be sent
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Jesus will equip the called
And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Faithful gospel living will strain some relationships, but Jesus is worth it.

Our ultimate reward is the joy of knowing God - Matthew 10:40-42
These two truths are enough to sustain us in the midst of suffering and opposition
Many times it is the simplest truths that sustain us the most.
