CIT: Jesus has called us to a mission that will involve suffering and opposition, but his sovereign care is enough to sustain our faith.

Jesus calls us to send us
Suffering and opposition
God’s sovereign care

This follows the prayer for laborers

The purpose of being a disciple is to be sent
Acts 1:8 ESV
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Jesus will equip the called

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Jesus is worth it - Matthew 10:38-39
Be empowered by faithful Christians
Stephen - stoned to death for his faith
