Opening & Intro
Intro the Minor Prophets Series
What it is?
Why we are doing it?
How do we apply the history of the Old Testament to our lives today?
What purpose does the Old Testament serve today?
Coming into the new year we make resolutions.
What are resolutions?
Self improvement...
Do we give up?
Gyms, health food, vitamins… make more money.
Churches get new people...
All in the name of self improvement.
Then by March… we are no further along.
Why do we focus so much on self improvement?
Why do we dwell on the things we do poorly?
We are sinful people.
We let God down all the time.
We make poor decisions.
I am sure he chuckles each year as He watches us make are new resolutions.
Even when we mess up or break our resolutions it is best that we don’t give up.
We have to press on.
But we do need to acknoledge what we did wrong and where we went wrong so we do better the next time.
Main Point
God’s Love is Bigger Than our Failures
Why Does it Matter
Noone is too broken
