1Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

IF we have faith, we have absolute confidence. Absolute assurance of the things hoped for.
What is Hope?
When we use the word “HOPE” we might say:
I hope is doesn’t rain.
I hope I can afford to go on a vacation.
I hope I can go to the bathroom today.
(end that’s why if you have faith in Christ, you can know.. that your prayer for salvation is answered)
