!! A.               Local Focus
i.                 Saved for a purpose.
– Need to understand that all of us have a requirement to be fruitful, to follow and serve Jesus Christ.
– Call Him Lord & commit to let Him be Lord.
– You will do His Will rather than your own.
ii.
His will is that you & I would bear much fruit
        John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and /that/ your fruit should remain, …. (NKJV)
iii.
Need to focus on our immediate friends & family, your neighbours, the city that we live in.
Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, ….” (NKJV)
           Jerusalem was the city the disciples were in.
Jesus is commanding them to be a witness in their city ~/ neighbourhood – This needs to be so with us.
!! B.               Global Vision
i.
We have a local focus to be fruitful but we have to lift up our eyes & see the greater calling – & vs 16. – The /regions beyond you/.
– The white harvest fields of the world.
ii.
The call to world evangelism.
– Our focus locally must be so that we can be more effective globally.
– Greater resource – Human & financial – Greater impact.
iii.
Purpose of putting the Newsletters from Fiji ~/ Solomon Islands on back table~/ board – Stir you ~/ encourage you re what God is doing in the regions beyond.
Trip planned for Solomon Islands – February 12th to 19th – Could you come?

!! A.               Increased Faith
i.                 & vs 15.
Paul makes the link that the increased faith of the people has a direct impact on his ability to reach the regions beyond.
– We need to be a people that take Jesus at His word.
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

ii.
Jesus gave the Great Commission.
– He is the one who commands you to go into all the world.
– It must be possible to do what He wants.
– Need to have faith that He will help us.

i.
The power of the Holy Spirit.
– He is the enabler.
It is in His power & ability that we can have the confidence to fix our eyes unto the ends of the earth.
