Who is Christ?

Isaiah 9:6
Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Wonderful

Wonderful = Miracle worker
John 21:25
John 21:25 (NKJV)
And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.
The Greatest miracle of all, is the miracle of salvation!

Counselor

Counselor with a wonderful and perfect plan.
He comforts us in times of despair
He has come to do the father’s will
He has come to set the captives free
He has come to give us deliverance
Isaiah 61:1-3
Isaiah 61:1–3 (NKJV)
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Mighty God

Mighty God = El Giddor (Jeedor) = mighty warrior God, Hero God
Psalm 62:6-7
Psalm 62:6–7 (NKJV)
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.
Psalm 18:2
Psalm 18:2 (NKJV)
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Revelation 17:14
Revelation 17:14 (NKJV)
These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
He is our refuge and our strength, and “in our weakness, His strength is made perfect.”

Everlasting Father

Everlasting Father, He is eternal.
Revelation:1:8
Revelation 1:8 (NKJV)
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
As The Father, He will always care for His children.
Isaiah 40:11
Isaiah 40:11 (NKJV)
He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young.

Prince of Peace

Prince of Peace, when our world is falling apart.
He is the only one who brings true peace.
Peace comes through Jesus Christ. There is no other way.
He will bring peace among the nations.
Isaiah 11:6-9
Isaiah 11:6–9 (NKJV)
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.
Micah 4:3
Micah 4:3 (NKJV)
He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.
He will bring peace to believers.
This type of peace is a reconciliation with God. It comes because our sins are forgiven.
Being reconciled with God, gives us peace with Him. This peace cannot come by man-made means, it can only come after justification by faith.
It is a God thing!
John 14:27
John 14:27 (NKJV)
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
It is a peace which we cannot even comprehend, we must simply experience it.
Philippians 4:7
Philippians 4:7 (NKJV)
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Most of all, He is our savior!
Romans 10:9
Romans 10:9 (NKJV)
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
And it all started with a baby in a manger.
Christ is everything, the perfect gift.
We need not look to anyone or anything else for answers or satisfacion.
Not to the stars, cards, palms, crystal balls, ouija boards, medium, etc.
These are nothing more than false signs and wonders produced by satan
Revelation 13:11-14
Revelation 13:11–14 (NKJV)
Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth—by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.
Matthew 24:24
Matthew 24:24 (NKJV)
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Christ is genuine, Christ is truth, Christ is light. He is all we need.
John 14:6
John 14:6 (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Through Isaiah, God begins to identify the coming Christ. He provides more and more details, so that when Christ would arrive, there would be no mistaking that it was really Him.
Today, we can have confidence in the reality of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And we can be just as confident of His return.
Just as it was 2000 years ago, it WILL be when Christ returns. There will be no mistaking Jesus Christ when we see Him again!
Matthew 24:23
Matthew 24:23 (NKJV)
“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.
No one will need to point Christ out to you when He returns. He will be unmistakable.
He truly is “Wonderful”, “Counselor”, “Mighty God”, “Everlasting Father”, and ”Prince of Peace.”
This message of hope was fulfilled in the birth of Christ and the future establishment of his eternal Kingdom.
He came to deliver all people from their slavery to sin, but they must accept in faith.
Don’t let this be a gift that sits on the shelf, love it, cherish it, use it and share it.
It’s a gift that’s meant to be re-given. God wants us to use His gift, and re-gift it.
