We are not here just to go to church and enjoy each other… Jesus said…
Just before this verse, he said that Christians were Salt of the Earth.
Salt makes everything but blood pressure better.
We are supposed to go and make it better.
Not only are we supposed to be salt, but Jesus told us that we are to be light.
Not only are we supposed to make things taste better, but we are to make everything look better… brighter.
We are not supposed to let our light shine just to let it shine.
We are not to feed people just to feed them.
We are not to educate people just to educate them.
Jesus puts a “so that” in this sentence.
We are to do good deeds so that they will see our good deeds and become interested in our God.
We don’t need to be random.
We need to be intentional.
Look at Jesus last words on earth.
Tell about Jesus life birth - to death and resurrection to asenscion.
Go be witnesses were the last words out of Jesus mouth.
A witness simply tells people what they experienced.
You don’t have to preach, you are just a witness to what Jesus has done in your life.
He said tell people in Jerusalem (Westbank) Judea (America) Samaria (people who are different than us) ends of the earth (rest of the world.

Listen to me.
There is a distinction Paul is giving us that is different from what many people to do today.
If you are not careful, when you are with the weak, you will give them som money or even food.
But that’s not OUR assignment.
Not all compassion and charity is the same.
If all we so is supply someone’s needs in that moment, you did not do what your assignment from God is.
You did a good deed according to the world, but you did not complete your assignment from God.
Paul said he shared in their weakness so that he can bring the weak to Christ.
He goes on to say that he tried to find common ground with people so that he can lead them to faith in Jesus Christ.
We need to make sure our acts of kindness are connected to the love of God.
Don’t just give someone some money, give it in Jesus name.
don’t just leave a big tip in a restaurant, ask them if you can pray for them.
Give a Little Red Bible with your tip.

It’s tempting to get into huddle up mode … to find a safe place to hide from all the stuff going on.
Movie the Impossible - when the waters went down a mother and her son were trying to survive.
She had a gash in her leg and they didn’t know if they would make it… didin’t know if the dad or the other brother was alive.
Heard a little boy calling for help and there was a tension between the boy and the mom as to what to do.
The boy wanted to help… the mom wanted to survive.
That’s where we have been these last two years… personally and as a church.
You see even though we have accomplished great things, as small as we are, I hear a small voice out there calling for help.
The voice of someone hurting who needs Jesus.
If you are a follower of Jesus, here are three principles that I want you to know.
We are Blessed to be a Blessing
God blesses us with more than we need so that we can be a blessing to others.
You are in America…

We have to know what the more is for
America has been great because we have blessed other nations.
We have built orphanages, schools, colleges and hospitals all over the world.
We have sent missionaries out to evangelize the word and feed the world.
God has given us this church to bless others.
2. When we bless others, God takes care of our needs.
Your giving has continued…
There is almost nothing God won’t do for the person who wants to help other people.
This life and the life to come.
3. The more God blesses us, the more He expects us to bless others.
The more God gives us the more he holds us responsible.
He gives us more responsibility the more responsible we are.

The responsibility of the first born is to take his dad’s responsibility on himself in the absence of his dad.
We are God’s firstborn.
We are a representative of the Father’s strength.
We…the church represent the Father.
