We're going to be talking about Shalom or peace.
Shalom is the the Hebrew word for peace.
That's a greeting that Jewish people still to this day.
Treat one another with shalom.
And it means peace.

It's this idea of not just like a piece but it's a fundamental welder.

And that's how I express my humor and interact with people in the headed to get to this point of Shalom.
I had a really good friend of mine into my home Church in Utah.
Lehi, Utah.
His name was shallow.
And so, like the second time I encountered him.
I said so long so alone, right?
Cuz that's how people get it in and he looked at me and, you know what your name means, right?
He's like, yeah, but most people don't and so from that point on, I used, every time I saw him, shalom.
Shalom thought that was funny for the first year, you know, I'm sure he was okay with it being 25 years until you like.
Alright, dude, you got to give it up.
Shalom, shalom.
So this idea of Peace God's intention for us is to have peace.
And it's one of those things that we walk in conflict with cuz we are in this world.
It's broken and has suffering the consequences of sin.
We talked about last week.
Not only the sin in creation of the natural evil, but the sin found in our own Hearts.
This idea of Disunity in.
No, peace to be found.
Is it something that we Face are faced with him battle with every day, but the God's intention for us as to how this idea of shalom.
He desires for us to have peace to have no absence of hostility.
Have he's depressed desires that I have us in the state of good welfare and prosperity.
And wholeness was not only within ourselves, but within our family units.
And with one another.
You can see it.
This idea.
The steam of Peace God's desire for peace throughout the Old and New Testament.
God anointed.
Aaron Moses brother to give gave him the aaronic, priesthood him in the sun's, right.
They were to be the intermediary between God, a holy God, and a sinful people.
And they the temple was built on the Tabernacle.
And if you want to know more about that, I have we have like three sermons on God's dwelling place or at the Tabernacle the temple and hopefully the New Testament Temple, which is the heart of God's people.
But in the Old Testament, say when, when God anointed Aaron to be the priest that ironic priesthood was given to him.
And through the word of the Lord, the Lord spoke to Moses and said this and Numbers Chapter 6 verses 22 through 26.
Tell Aaron and his sons, this is how you are to bless the Israelites.
So should we see God's in?
This is my intention for my people.
And this is how I'm I want you Aaron and your son to do to the aaronic priesthood, to bless my people to intermediate for them.
You should say to them.
May the Lord bless you and protect, you.
May the Lord make his face shine on you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace.
God desires for his people to have peace in their hearts and then their families, and in their communities.
But we know because of the consequences of the Fall.
That's not the reality that we live in them.
But yet, we have that promise that God is working in his creation.
God is going to fulfill at one point in human history.
That is to come, all will be taken care of.
And we will finally that the Shalom that was in the Garden of Eden before, the fall will be re-established.
That is the hope that we have.
And we know that God has used human history to reveal, how he is going to do that.
Through the Messiah.
Does Isaiah.
9:6 is a verse that we covered last week?
But this is April prophecy of Jesus.
The Messiah coming 750 years before Jesus even arrives on the scene.
The word of the Lord since spoken to rise a and he says, for a child, will be born for us, a son will be given to us and the government will be on his shoulders and he will be named, wonderful, counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, and the prince of peace.
Do you see God's desire for us to have peace?
It's throughout scripture.
Let me know through the New Testament.
Paul tells us in many different of his, many different letters, but in two specifically in Romans, right?
He shows and demonstrates to us that it doesn't matter what heritage, what background you from, that is none of your Jewish or Gentile, right?
All have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
There's nobody in this earth that can learn and do enough, good and righteousness to earn favor with a holy and Jessica's.
Because we all fall short and God Paul uses the first three chapters of Romans, two to demonstrate that to us in the conclusion.
This for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
And then that we find Brokenness, right?
Even in Genesis Chapter 3, The after the fall of Adam and Eve were hiding from God. They've they've done their First Act of human religion by trying to cover themselves.
