Let’s take a few minutes to reflect on 2021.
Reflect =carefully consider
What kind of Thanksgiving would it be if there was no one to thank, no one to ask why, or how long, or when?
You see, thanksgiving assumes two things:
There are things for which we should be thankful
There is Someone to which we should give thanks (What is the object of your gratefulness?)
Let us reflect on God’s Sovereign protection:
Heart attack, attacks by predators, Covid
How has the Lord protected you this year? For every one protection, we saw there were a thousand ways we did not see!
Let us reflect on God’s Faithful Provision
The Lord kept us (Preserved me alive but granted me a full recovery) I’m still saved and so are you!
The Lord has sustained us
The Lord has corrected us
1 john 4:12 teaches that God abides in us so that he might perfect his love in us.
So that all the good and all the hard is purposeful and under His direction.
For it is only as you see darkness that we appreciate the light.
When we see fake love we hold fast to faithful love
When we see worthless trinkets of this world we appreciate the priceless treasure of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord
Rev 7:12 - Let us join the testimony:
“Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
