The Battlefield of the Mind

Battlefield- The ground or place where a battle or conflict is fought.
Romans 7:23-25 “but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.”
The spiritual battle is mostly, but not entirely fought in the mind.
The battle of the flesh and the Spirit begins in the mind!
The daily struggle with our enemy begins and ends in our thoughts. Why is it not completely fought there? At times we confront the enemy in a more direct way.
Praying
Casting out demons
Standing on our authority and not backing down
Ministering to others
Why is the battlefield mostly in the mind? Because we cannot see our enemy and our thoughts are the main way he gains access to us.
Think about that for a moment. Your thoughts are the primary way the enemy gains access to you.
Change your thoughts…change your life.
Shut the door…keep out the devil. Shut the door keep the devil in the night. Our thoughts are a huge way of how we keep the devil away!
Your thoughts will either direct you to the heart of God…to faith…and to His promises…to fulfill the purposes of God
OR
Your thoughts will lead you away from God…to embrace doubt…to walk in fear…and keep you from the goodness and plans of God.
You choose!
