Impossible is possible in Christ.

“2021 is about obliterating doubts about God and yourself.”
Jonathan Hanson 1-10-21
Jesus did the impossible:
Born from a virgin
Heals lepracy
Heals man born blind
Heals paralyzed man
Walks on water
Raises Lazarus from the dead
Delivers man from demons
Why did Jesus do so many impossible things?
Jesus did the impossible so many times to make a point.
What we think is unmovable is movable.
What we think is impossible with Him it is possible.
Galatians 5:1 NASB95
It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
I believe this is one of the primary reasons came the way He did.
Jesus came to free us from slavery to sin, to darkness, to powerlessness, to law, to works, to not enough...
John 8:31–36 NASB95
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?” Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. “The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. “So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
Jesus is talking to a people who think they are free already. They dont realize their lives are still governed by what they think is possible and what they think is impossible. Therefore they are not free as they think they are.
We fall into this so easy.
We look at what we think is impossible and build our lives around what is possible.
Today there is an obvious fight to get us to believe things are impossible again.
You can’t change who you are.
You can’t change who you love
You can’t change being fidgety
You can’t change being shy
You can’t change your feelings.
You can’t change being angry
You can’t change disassociating
You can’t change this disease
You can’t walk on water
You can’t raise the dead
You can’t heal the sick
You can’t cast out demons
When you die you die...
“Faith doesn’t deny a problems existence. It denies it a place of influence.”
Bill Johnson
Jesus said you will do even grater things that these. John 14:12
In Christ:
You can cast out demons
You can heal the sick
You can raise the dead
You can love the unlovable
You can forgive those who hurt you
You can know what you feel and bring love, joy, peace in that place.
What if we practiced replacing the list of things that we feel are impossible with a list of impossible things that God has done.
What if we traded that list of impossible with a list of things Jesus says are possible in Him.
It is freeing believing in the impossible.
You feel more alive when you believe.
Jesus wants you to replace what you think is impossible in your life for what He knows is possible in Him.
Closing:
“2021 is about obliterating doubts about God and yourself.”
Galatians 5:1 NASB95
It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
Trade what you think is impossible for what Jesus showed is possible.
Trade what you think is not movable for what Jesus shows is movable.
Trade what you think you have to live with for what Jesus wants you to live with.
Today’s Activation:
Holy Spirit what is one thing that I think is impossible that you want me to give to you?
Tell Jesus of at least one thing He has done that was not possible.
Holy Spirit, what do you want me to believe is possible?
Other References:
Acts 2:24 NASB95
“But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.
Matthew 17:20 NASB95
And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
1 Corinthians 7:22–23 NASB95
For he who was called in the Lord while a slave, is the Lord’s freedman; likewise he who was called while free, is Christ’s slave. You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men.
Romans 8:15 NASB95
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
Hebrews 2:15 NASB95
and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.
Galatians 4:8–9 NASB95
However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods. But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again?
John 14:12 NASB95
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
