WHEN A SURVEY WAS SENT OUT IN 1979 ASKING 10,000 PREACHERS IN 5 DENOMINATIONS "DO YOU BELIEVE THE BIBLE TO BE GOD'S INSPIRED WORD?" 7500 RESPONDED
82%, 89%, 81%, 57%, 57% SAID NO!!!!!!!!!!!
What that means they do not have a place to stand. Do what you want , believe what you want
Christians need a source of authority. A place to stand.
If we do not have a place of authority, it becomes a free for all = where the most popular or the best speaker, sets the rules.
But we do have a source of authority a place to stand. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
"ALL SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED BY GOD, AND IS USEFUL FOR TEACHING, CORRECTION, FOR TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
17 SO THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAYBE ADEQUATE, EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK.
When difference of opinions arise, we have a place to stand.
People OFTEN TURN TO THE BOOK OF OPINIONS, IT IS NOT FOUND IN THE BIBLE, AND WE NEED TO WATCH OUT FOR IT. ESPECIALLY THE LARGEST VERSE IN THAT BOOK. It is Book of Opinions chapter 6 vs 66
that is Book of opinions 6 66. it is very deadly.
Rev 13:18 why is the #for man and beast 666.
God is always # 7 , both man and beast attempt to become God and alway comes up short thus # 6 tries again #6 and again.
NO MATTER HOW HARD WE TRY OUR OPINIONS== UNLESS BACKED BY BOOK CHAPTER AND VERSE WILL ALWAYS FALL SHORT OF GOD'S WORD AND WILL

WHEN WRITTEN ,THE WRITERS DID NOT WRITE IN THEIR INTERPRETATION, ONLY WHAT GOD INSPIRED THEM TO WRITE.'
SO TODAY WE CAN NOT ADD TO OR CHG WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN
First lets look at What the Church of Christ is. IT IS THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH RESTORED NOT REFORMED.
when we RESTORE A car or anything else we get it back to the original condition
SO WHEN WE RESTORE THE CHURCH WE HAVE TO FOLLOW ONLY THE COMMANDS AND EXAMPLES FOUND IN THE BIBLE IF WE WANT TO RESTORE IT TO THE ORIGINAL FORM.

1 Cor. 1:18,19,20,23 people today seek pleasure and entertainment. WE do not preach wisdom of man GROWTH BY YMCA but the wisdom of God we need to preach Christ crucified.
2 Tim 4:1-5 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:
2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
SO WHEN WE COME TOGETHER FOR WORSHIP AND BIBLE STUDY WE ARE TO STUDY WHAT??? WHY
2 Tim 2:14-18 study to show theyself approved before God

TIME WILL COME WHEN PEOPLE SEEK THOSE WHO TEACH WISDOM OF MAN self satisfaction AND NOT THE WISDOM GOD
4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
THEY WILL NO LONGER SEEK GOD'S WORD FOR TRUTH BUT DENOMINATIONAL WORLD FOR GUIDANCE
THEY WILL SEEK THE LASTEST GIMMICKS THAT WILL ATTRACT PEOPLE
5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
in season "when people have open hearts and minds"
out of season "when people don't want to listen to the truth"

enter the narrow gate- the way is hard that leads to eternal life THE GROWTH IS SLOW
the wide gate leads to destruction easy to travel & many travel THE GROWTH IS EASY AND FAST
Acts 20:29-30 false teashers will arise from within and outside
Sing with clapping hands, by what authority, SAME AS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
Eph 5:19 and Col 3:16
if it allows clapping of hands it will also allow MI=
if it doesn't allow MI it won't allow clapping of hands
singing with hands up and swaying to the music not going to discuss whether it is permissible or not
but if some one thinks it is sinful and we do it in front of him then
1 Cor 8:12 we sinned against him and Christ

I knew some one in the ymca church growth PHILOSOPHY, When ask has he told any one about Jesus? No but I have stripped the soccer fields, ASKED A 2ND TIME NO BUT I HAVE STRIPPED SOCCER FIELDS
IS STRIPPING SOCCER FIELDS GOING TO GET SOME ONE TO HEAVEN OR DOES THE MESSAGE OF JESUS CHRIST CRUCIFIED
When people are won by programs,
1) more programs will be added.
2) anything that will cause growth becomes acceptable
MI< women surving communion, women teaching adult males in a formal Bible stude, women elders, women preachers, the list is endless
3) Minister and staff will start spending more time studying the latest gimmicks and less time studying the Bible
even going on 5 day seminares on LATEST gimmicks
4) the message is come to our church we have,soccer, basktetball, computer classes, etc
IT IS NOT WE HAVE THE FAITH THAT WILL SAVE YOU
5) people get so caught up in the programs, I have even seen someone who had not been baptized get elected as elder because he fit in the program
we have a place to stand. in the inerrant scripture
There are 2 basic views for church growth.
1) use God's blueprint (the Bible which is God's) TEACH CHRIST CRUCIFIED
2) the Bible contains God's word, parts of it is not God' and is out of date and doesn't work, we need to turn to the denominational world for a plan
WE NEED TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO TICKLE THE EARS OF THE WORLD TO COME TO OUR CHURCH SO WE CAN LATER TEACH THEM ABOUT CHRIST
WE HAVE A CHOICE TO MAKE TODAY, HOW ARE WE GOING TO GROW THIS CHURCH
If not a Christian, you have to make a choice, to become a Christian
GOD'S WAY
OR
MAN'S WAY
