! Encourage the saints about living in God’s purpose in us.

1.
Scripture: *Col 1:15-20*
v16   For by Him ALL things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – ALL things have been created through Him and *finds its purpose in Him*.

2.
Introduction:
* Recently, I celebrated my 26th birthday.
People came and asked me about my age (kept reminding me about my age).
Then people want to know what my wish is.
* That prompt me to write a message about ‘What is life?’

3.
Main Point:
*A.
What is life?*
* People will wish in their lives to be successful, to be wealthy, to be happy, prosperous; Negative = curse, bad luck, miserable
* What Bible tells us about life?
– Meaningless!
King Solomon in his riches, glory, fame, status, wives…said everything is meaningless.
* Life without God is meaningless.
* So what is life?
Scripture said ‘For by Him ALL things were created… ALL things were created by him and finds its purpose in Him’
* We are born by His purpose.
Our life is for His purpose.
Purpose take us to the place; purpose guides us to the place.
It takes us to the destination.
God has a destination for us to go.

*B.
Start serving God when you are young.
Don’t wait until you’re old*
* So true, we wish our lives rather God’s wish in us.
We choose our destination rather God’s.
Eg: visiting a elderly couple recently.
They regret for not serving God in their early age.
*C.
Make your life count for eternity*
* Life is temporary!
I can have this and that... would that bring together with you to heaven?
*Jas 4:13-14*
*         *Eg: Pastor Scott – pass away at 48 years old recently
               Kayumba – pass away last year, same age with me

3.
Conclusion:
* I have learned to DIE TO MYSELF
* Paul uses word like ‘I’m crucified’, ‘I no longer live’, ‘for you die and your life hidden with Christ’
* Your life is for eternity, start serving God when there is opportunity.
