“Thanksgiving,” as a holiday, is observed by the thankful and unthankful. But, true thanksgiving is the disposition of those who understand their own unworthiness and God’s overwhelming grace and greatness. Worship is our grateful response to God’s goodness, lovingkindness, and faithfulness so it cannot happen without thanksgiving. Psalm 50 reminds us of this and calls us to authentic worship.
