Are You Established In The Truth?

2 Peter 1:12 “Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.”
I. The DESIRE that Peter EXPRESSED!
2 Peter 1:10 “Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;”
2 Peter 1:11 “for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.”
2 Peter 1:12 “Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.”
2 Peter 1:13 “I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,”
II. The KNOWLEDGE that Peter EMBRACED!
2 Peter 1:14 knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent
How did Peter KNOW that the laying aside of his earthly dwelling was imminent?
*ILLUMINATION:
2 Peter 1:14 KNOWING that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent
*REVELATION:
2 Peter 1:14 . . . as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me
*CONFIRMATION:
2 Peter 1:15 And I will ALSO be diligent that at any time after my DEPARTURE you will be able to RECALL these things to mind
III. The MAJESTY that Peter WITNESSED!
2 Peter 1:16 “For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.”
Thirty-Five years later, the experience Peter encountered on the Mount of Transfiguration was still fresh in his mind!
Mark 9:1 “And Jesus was saying to them, “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.””
Mark 9:2 “Six days later, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them;”
IV. The UTTERANCE that Peter HEARD!
2 Peter 1:17 “For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”—”
When did Peter hear this utterance from heaven? Was it at the Transfiguration or was it part of another encounter?
Mark 9:7 “Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!””
Matthew 3:16-17 “After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.””
In your opinion, what language did God The Father utter from heaven on each of these occasions?
In your experience, what language does God speak to you?
As God matures your Faith In The Midst Of This Perverse World, Are You Established In The Truth in such a way that you will never stumble?
Will you give God permission to speak His utterances to you from Heaven, in whatever language He desires to utilize to deepen your faith?
