Jeremiah 33:3 KJV 1900
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Product of Prayer

What is the outcome of prayer? What is it that can be accomplished?
I will submit to you this morning that the possibilities are as endless as the outstretched arms of a God who holds the universe in the palms of His hands.
Jerusalem was under seige by the Babylonians. Nebuchadnezzar was considered one of the greatest military leaders of the ancient world.
Ultimately, the Babylonians would destroy Jerusalem and Solomons temple would be ruined in the process.
One reason for this was because Zedekiah, king of Israel, had broken his commitment with Babylon and had made a pact with Egypt. Nebuchadnezzar was fearful that the Egyptians would shut off the trade routes.
With Jerusalem under seige, Jeremiah was placed kept in the court of the prison.
It was during this time that God spoke to Jeremiah and told him that He would answer the prayers of Jeremiah and show him great and mighty things.
God’s promises are always faithful, even when it looks like they have failed.
God said that His promises could only be broken if we could stop the setting and rising of the sun. v. 19
Despite of the destruction that was imminent there where certain promises that would be kept.
