Jesus the Good Shepherd continues to show how He is far different than the false shepherds. False shepherds do not care to know the sheep, but Jesus knows the sheep and the sheep know Him. False shepherds divide the sheep, but Jesus unites the sheep around Him, His gospel, and His Word. These aspects are still true today as false shepherds continue to harm the sheep but the Good Shepherd cares for and unites the body of Christ around Himself, His Gospel, and His Word.
