“A LIE ABOUT SPIRITUAL WARFARE”

  • Our enemy is real! 1 Peter 5:8
  • The battle is real! Ephesians 6:11-12
  • How do we approach this reality?
  • Beware of certain voices.

THE LIE: Christians have authority and power over the devil and his forces.

CHECK IT OUT:

1. The only ones with this kind of authority. (Besides Jesus)

2. The devil is a fallen angel, as are his forces.

    • Angels were created by God.
      • Psalm 148:1-5; Colossians 1:15-16
    • The Creator has greater power and authority than His creation.

3. We were created a little lower than the angels. Hebrews 2:6-8

4. Christians will judge angels, but not yet. 1 Corinthians 6:3

5. Even God’s angels won’t assume authority to rebuke the devil and his forces.
