Ezra 4:9 declares that Ezra trembled at God’s words. Do you tremble before God or His Word? Why or why not?
Is your response to sin around you repentance or indifference?
Ezra’s prayer in Ezra 9:10-15 reveals Ezra praying to God about God’s mercy (v13) and His justice (v15). How do these attributes of God influence how you think about God. Are you encouraged that God is both just and merciful?
Ezra 9:7 speaks of Israel and her kings and priests being guilty of bringing guilt on Israel. How have you been affected by leaders without integrity?
