Ephesians 4:4–6 (NASB95) — 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
2 Timothy 4:3–4 (NASB95) — 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
Genesis 4:4–5 (NASB95) — 4 Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and for his offering; 5 but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell.
Isaiah 55:8–9 (NASB95) — 8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Genesis 6:22 (NASB95) — Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did.
Matthew 19:27 (NASB95) — Then Peter said to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?”
Matthew 19:27 (NKJV) — Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?”
3 John 2 (NASB95) — Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
God’s ways are higher and better then any plan we can arrange.
If we just trust and obey Him, we will be led to His understanding.
God’s way will not always be popular with friends or family.
God’s plans have never been in the majority, so don’t look at what everyone else is doing and let that influence your decision.
The only way to be safe in our decisions is to have them based on Scripture.
God wants what is best for us, and all we have to do is trust Him.
Remember: “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” (Proverbs 14:12)
We should realize that God’s way does matter, Jesus loves us very much, and He tells us in His Word, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
