WHAT IS FAITH
INTRODUCTION
Faith is the overcoming power that God has given to us to rule and govern this world. We exercise the dominion and power given to us by God through faith. Faith allows us to bring the authority of heaven into the word.
WHAT FAITH IS
Heb 11:1
(1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
1.1 Bible Definition of faith - “Substance of things hoped for…”

Easton Bible Dictionary
Faith is in general the persuasion of the mind that a certain statement is true

NOUN
complete trust or confidence in someone or something:
"this restores one's faith in politicians"
synonyms: trust · belief · confidence · conviction · credence · [more]reliance · dependence · optimism · hopefulness · hope · expectation antonyms: mistrust
strong belief in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual conviction rather than proof.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of unseen realities (truths). Faith lays hold of the unseen realm of hope and brings it into reality
Without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6). God cannot be pleased with us until we believe and approach him with hearts full of faith.
God has dealt (given) to each and every one of us the measure of faith – Rom 12:2. Meaning God has given to each of us individually the same measure of faith.
Faith is acting on the word.
James 2:26
(26) Indeed, just as the body without a spirit is dead, so too faith without actions is dead.
BIBLE FAITH
Bible faith—is based on the Word of God. It comes by hearing the Word of God
Rom 10:17
(17) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
If you get out beyond the Word of God, you have no basis for faith—and you will get into trouble
To have a foundation for your faith, be certain that the promises of God cover what you’re believing for.
