“Congratulations, you’ve been selected for a free cruise to the Bahamas.” I must admit I was initially excited, but I soon discovered that these spam phone calls have nothing to offer. They promise to give, but only intend to take. Sadly, there are spiritual scammers looking to profit from others’ spiritual destruction. While they may promise riches or freedom or spiritual superiority, they only take. As our text tells us in 2 Peter 2:3, they only intend to exploit you with false words.
