Jesus, Is He God or Not?

John 14:1,6-7

With all the lies perpetrated by cultist regarding the nature of Jesus, there is only one question that needs to be addressed…

            Is Jesus God?

I.                   Jesus says, to put your trust in Him.  Vs.1

A.    Is this scriptural?

Exodus 20:3 – 1st commandment.

Deut. 6:5, 13-14 – God alone is to be worshipped.

                                    The Bible states that man is to trust god only!

                                    So we conclude that Jesus is claiming to be God!

B.     Is there scriptural evidence to support His obvious claim?

1.      Psalm 2:12

2.      Isaiah 9:6-7

II.                Jesus says, the way to the Father is through Him.  Vs.6

A.    Is He the way?

Are there other ways to God?

                        Good works? Tit.3:5

                        Sinless perfection? Rom.3:3

                        Baptismal regeneration? 1 Peter 3:20

B.     Is He the truth?

C.     Is He the life?

III.             Jesus says, to know Him is to know the Father.  Vs.7

A.    Can you know the Father by the actions of the Son?  (Phil.2:5-6)

B.     Can you trust that what He says is truth?

Conclusion:     The bible is filled with scriptural references to the deity of Christ, if the cults deny this (which they do) what kind of salvation do they have?
