Most of you know I work at the hospital as a chaplain. I was in the ER waiting room yesterday, You encounter all kinds of people there. Because of the volume the hospital is packed, One patient was there for hours. he came in because he drank a bottle of invisible ink, he was waiting to be seen.

There is something about a secret, it draws you in. We are fascinated with secrets. There were TV’s shows I’ve Got a Secret and Secret Storm. Movies like - The Secret life of Bod Mitty, Secret Window, Her Majesty’s Secret Service, The Secret Garden, and the Secret of my success just to name a few. The Government has three levels of Secrecy that determine the rating that a military member or government official might have. There is Confidential, Secret and Top Secret. The factor that determines each is the amount of damage that sharing a morsel of truth will do. If Confidential information is leaked it can cause damage. If Secret information is leaked it can cause serious damage, but if Top secret information is leaked it can cause grave damage. Toward the end of Deuteronomy Moses is speaking to the Israelites about what will happen when he is gone. He pauses at the end of Chapter of 29 and shares this brief word about secrets. In this passage we will learn three truths about God and secrets that has the potential to make a difference that can prevent damage, possible serious damage. maybe even grave damage. Let’s look at it together.

God owns and knows all the secrets. God is in control.
Who do they belong to - The LORD.
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: He knoweth what is in the darkness, And the light dwelleth with him.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
