2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV) 20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
The promises of God are given for our benefit and provide to us healing, protection, promotion, and prosperity
THESE PRECIOUS PROMISES OF GOD ARE THE FOUNDATION OF OUR FAITH, EMPOWERING OUR FAITH TO PREVAIL
PREVAIL- to prove more powerful than opposing forces; be victorious. To overcome; to gain the victory or superiority; to gain the advantage.
Your faith in God is a powerful force that ensures victory and superiority
God has declared that your faith can move mountains. (Mark 11:22-24)
God has declared that your faith in him makes all things possible
Your faith will….prove more powerful than opposing forces
Your faith is victorious, it will gain the victory Your faith will overcome, Your faith is superior, Your faith will gain the advantage
1 John 5:1–5 LEB
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been fathered by God, and everyone who loves the father also loves the child fathered by him. By this we know that we love the children of God: whenever we love God and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God: that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome, because everyone who is fathered by God conquers the world. And this is the victory which has conquered the world: our faith. Now who is the one who conquers the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Conquer- To overcome; to gain the victory. To subdue; to reduce by physical force, till resistance is no longer made
By the authority that we have been given in Christ we subdue the enemy
till resistance is no longer made
Romans 8:31–39 AMP
What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?] Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us? Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter. Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Through the love of the father we have been brought to a place where we have gained a surpassing victory
till resistance is no longer made
We must subdue the enemy and set out to conquer the enemy by exercising the authority given to us by Christ Jesus
Authority comes as you...
Recognize who you are in Christ and the position that you have been given in him
Submit to the Word of God
Ephesians 2:4–6 NKJV
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Romans 5:17 NKJV
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
James 4:7 NKJV
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
You have authority given to you by God that will conquer the enemy
Authority must be enforced
Luke 9:1–2 NKJV
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Power [dunamis /doo·nam·is/] strength shown in power, ability,  It is supernatural Power in action Dunamis is Miraculous Power!
Authority [exousia /ex·oo·see·ah/] high position, power of choice, liberty of doing as one pleases
the power of rule or government (the power of him whose will and commands must be submitted to by others and obeyed)
Luke 9:6 AMP
And departing, they went about from village to village, preaching the Gospel and restoring the afflicted to health everywhere.
They did not just receive authority to put the authority into action
Authority must be acted on, it must be enforced
You are enforcing the authority of God’s Word
Luke 4:31–32 NKJV
Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths. And they were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority.
The Word of God is the final Authority
what the Word of God decalres must come to pass as we enforce it in our lives
