CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD’S GREAT SALVATION

1.  Granted on God’s Terms

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.”  John 6:44

2.  Reflects God’s Name

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul, and with all your mind, This is the greatest and most important commandment.  The second is like it:  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”  Matthew 22:37-40

3.  Personal but not Private

“To all did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His Name, who were born not of blood, or of the will of the flesh or of the will of man, but of God.”  John 1:12-13

4.  Births us into a spiritual family

“You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household.”  Ephesians 2:19

5.  Demonstrated by love

“We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers.  The one who does not love remains in death.”  I John 3:14

6. Submitted to God’s will

“By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

7.  Seeks first the Kingdom of God.

“…seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”  Matthew 6:33
