Ephesians 6:10–20 NKJV
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Today’s Text:(Ephesians 6:17) (NKJV) (17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;)

Psalm 140:7 NKJV
7 O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.
Isaiah 59:17 NKJV
17 For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak.

1) What goes on in the head?

a) Thinking

b) Feeling

c) Logic

d) Planing

e) Everything

2) The enemy wants you to doubt your salvation! The enemy wants to dominate your mind.

2 Peter 1:10 NKJV
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
What happens in our head is often drama beyond what we like to admit.
The enemy wants to get you so far in your head that you cannot fulfill your functions in:
Life.
Work .
Relationships.
Church/Ministry
Philippians 4:8–9 NKJV
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
1 Timothy 4:12–16 NKJV
12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. 15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
1 Timothy 4:15 NKJV
15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.
one of the things the scripture tells us to focus on is our gifts.
Not because we need to be self absorbed, rather, the only thing I can do anything about is me. I have no control over anyone else.

3. Remember the Helmet is the last thing you put on before the battle. It is the most important piece of armor because if the head gets to damaged to badly, the body wont move.
